Become a Member
As a member of the Bozeman Investor Club, you should fully participate in our club mission. Encourage others to pursue their financial dreams, and be encouraged by other members. Receive education and share your experiences and knowledge with the group. Although we love passive income, we want active members who are willing to add value to the group. There are two levels of members.
Step 1: Sign up as a Couch Surfer
Start off as a Couch Surfer. This is free. You can attend up to two meetings. Once you have used your two free meetings, you can join us occasionally when we have an "Open Meeting," about once a year. You will receive email updates about club activities.
To sign up:
- On the footer click “my account” or go here.
- Select “create new account”
- Complete the information. Leave the newsletter subscription “couch surfer” checked to receive monthly emails about club meetings; you can always unsubscribe later. The “Personal Contact Form” is only for full members, and activates upon paying dues and agreeing to membership rules; so you can leave this blank.
- Check your email for a welcome message. If you do not see it, check your junk-mail folder and add this email to safe senders list.
- Click the link in the email and update your password.
Step 2: Become a Full Member
To activate full membership; on the webpage footer, select "My Account," log in (if not already logged in), and click the "Become a Member" link.
Kind of a real estate theme, you move from couch surfer to home owner. Full membership is $90 a year. Duplex is for a couples membership, with the second member half price (total $135 per year). The following benefits are available for Owner/Duplex (Full) Members.
- Attend meetings. Meetings are a place for networking, listening to guest speakers, and participating in activities such as deal analysis.
- Participate in the Marketplace; this is our name for classified ad forum. The Marketplace is a time during the meeting, or space in the newsletter, where members can share services they provide, investment opportunities, other opportunities, or needed services they are seeking. Often a few times a year investment deals will get done through our marketplace where one person brings a deal and another invests. The club does not endorse these investments, you must do your due diligence.
- Network with other members. The member only page on our website shows bios for members that provide them, you can also contact members through that page. You are encouraged to get to know people at our meetings, and even connect outside of meetings for education and encouragement. Any spamming of members is not tolerated.
- Newsletters, announcements and other online communication. Our club tries to keep you informed of local (and even sometimes national) events. Our goal is not to clog your inbox, you will typically only receive a few emails a month.
Rules of the Game
Whether attending a meeting as a couch surfer, or becoming a full member; you must agree to our membership rules.
