Patrick McGowen describes himself as an income statement investor, while most investors are balance sheet investors. "Instead of valuing your portfolio on what you could sell it for today, you should value it on how much income it is producing." Patrick is also a fan of private investments (Main Street is better than Wall Street). He purchase his first private investment in 2010, a buy and hold duplex. Since then he continues to grow his portfolio with buy and hold rentals, personal lending (including hard money loans) and small business ownership. Some of these are in partnerships and syndication.

Kaiden Batzler is a full-time real estate professional based in Bozeman, Montana. He grew up in a small Montana town and has a background in contracting and small business. His investing experience spans stocks, crypto, NFTs, and hands-on trades work, but his focus today is on building a long-term real estate portfolio. He’s actively growing his investment base through buy-and-hold properties, value-add residential deals, and real estate-backed business opportunities. Outside of work, he spends most of his time with his loving girlfriend and dog, and enjoys the outdoors as a way to stay connected to the Montana lifestyle he grew up with. He’s always game to connect over coffee, a hike, or a conversation about investing and life!

Allison Miles is a seasoned real estate investor and former property management business owner, bringing deep expertise to the Investor Club board. Before moving to the Gallatin Valley, she owned and operated a property management company in Moab, UT, gaining firsthand experience in managing and optimizing rental properties. With a background in property management and a diverse investment portfolio, Allison offers club members valuable insights, practical strategies, and industry stories that blend knowledge with experience. She actively invests in both Main Street and Wall Street—ranging from buy-and-hold properties and fix-and-flips to nightly and long-term rentals. Her financial investments extend to promissory notes, government bonds, REITs, private placements, stocks, and various funds. Allison is continually seeking new opportunities to learn, invest, and collaborate, making her a dynamic resource for fellow investors and board members alike.

Future Officers

Our Goal is to have 3-5 Board Members and possibly additional officers.  Must be a Full Member for at least one year before becoming an officer, if interested reach out to one of the Board Members. 

Positions are:

Board Members: Facilitate meetings, find speakers and content, guide other officers to keep with the club vision, Organize meeting location.
Marketplace Organizer:  facilitate communication between members of opportunities, partnerships and deals between club members.  This person will also coordinate, on occasion, active searches for deals outside the club, such as mailings and other active marketing for investment deals.  
Sponsorship Coordinator: work with sponsors to ensure they get return on their marketing dollars with appropriate sponsor messaging to the club and club partners.  
Tech Support: this person ensures that the online link for meetings is set up and working for each meeting.  They will also work the chat box during the meeting to keep online attendees engaged. 
Membership Organizer: Welcome new members, check in with full members during annual renewal, collect and deposit dues.
